Description: The file includes all Erie County bridges that carry a public road, as well as some pedestrian bridges. Information was obtained from a NYSDOT file of all bridge locations, and the Erie County bridges were extracted from that file. Additional bridge locations, for pedestrian bridges for example, were added from Erie County information. Additional information such as the Maintenance District, Legislative District, and County Department that owns the bridge were added. Information that changes over time, such as inspection rating and date of last inspection were removed from this file and will be accessed via joins. The information in this file is unlikely to change without prior Erie County knowledge, as bridges are not added or removed from our inventory without or knowledge. Therefore, no updates of this file on a specific interval will take place. Bridges will be added or removed as construction or demolition take place.
